Worldly experience benefits her patients

Working with patients in need has always been a part of Jennifer Monna’s passion for medicine. Jennifer is our Physician Assistant at Sodus and Newark Community Health.  As a graduate student she was inspired to study Pediatric Infectious Disease in La Paz, Bolivia.  In addition, she was a clinic volunteer in an impoverished village in Dhaka, Bangladesh.  Jennifer lived in the Middle East where she worked as a crew member on Emirates Airline as a Medical First Responder servicing destinations worldwide.  Prior to that she volunteered as a medical writer for the Refugee Resettlement Office of Albany, NY.

Jennifer now practices adult and pediatric medicine as well as women’s health.  She has special interests in HIV/AIDS care, dermatology and pediatric psychology.

“Empowering people to take control of their health and well-being is my goal every day.  I love working as a team to best serve our patients,” says Jennifer.

Jennifer Monna, graduated with a Master of Science degree from Le Moyne College with more than 1900 hours of clinical experience in Primary care, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Geriatrics, Psychiatry, Long-Term Care, Cardiology, Hematology/Oncology, Dermatology and Endocrinology.

Jennifer speaks Spanish and enjoys travel, reading and exercise.  In her spare time she practices the art of aerial silks.
