“Wins Dr. Gary Ogden Rural Health Practitioner of the Year Award”

Most people dread going to the dentist. But Dr. Anthony Mendicino makes his patients feel so at ease, they call him “Dr. Tony.” So much so that he was the recently awarded with the Dr. Gary Ogden Rural Health Practitioner of the Year Award by the NYS Association of Rural Health (NYSARH). Like Dr. Ogden, Dr. Tony’s kindness and humor helps him improve oral health in our community.

He says, “Since very few patients enjoy coming to the dentist, I try to make our patients feel as comfortable as possible.” A graduate of the University of Buffalo School of Dentistry, Dr.  Mendicino has 22 years’ experience in community dental health. He oversees our dental staff, as well as our community outreach programs in oral health. “I love working here because I can give patients my full attention. I can take the time to listen, put them at ease,  and educate them on the importance of oral care and prevention. We have progressive technological services not every dental practice has, such as Teledentistry. Our patients are appreciative of our work, which is gratifying.”
