Family first for this experienced physician

stacey-walker-3With over 10 years of medical experience, Dr. Walker joins Finger Lakes Community Health with board certifications in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. As a mom and a physician, she understands the importance of family medicine and work/life balance. She says, “Listening, educating, and most of all, being compassionate are at the center of how I care for my patients.”

Dr. Walker chose to become a part of a community health center because she believes FLCH puts the patient first, and that is her goal too. “I wanted a community health center because I grew up in Wayne County with very limited medical options and with many neighbors who could not afford care” she says.  Helping others and teaching her patients about their medical conditions and how to stay healthy are imperative to Dr. Walker, no matter their backgrounds or history.

She received her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse and did her residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.

When she isn’t working, Dr. Walker likes to read, take care of her twin sons, and work in her flower and vegetable gardens.
